Scandi Haven Village is an active adult community located in Benson, MN, which offers premiere senior living. Our one and two-bedroom apartment homes include full kitchens, generously-sized closets and spacious living areas.
24-hour Staffing & Emergency Response System
Scandi Haven Village is a 24-hour care facility with home health aides and professional nurses on staff to provide the assistance and care that may be required by any of our residents. An emergency response pendant will be worn by each of our residents to ensure their ability to contact our staff during an emergency or medical event.
Nursing Services
The purchase of any home care service will provide you with many nursing services including coordination with physicians, the pharmacy, and professional therapy staff. As changes in health occur, nurses will assess their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs to determine if a care level adjustment may need to be considered. Home health aides provide direct care to residents and ensure the services are delivered as planned. Assistance with arranging transportation and scheduling appointments is also provided.
Daily Meals
Diet is a very important part of maintaining the health of all of our residents. Scandi Haven Village has a kitchen staff to provide three meals per day for each of our assisted living and memory care residents. For our independent living residents, one meal per day is included in their rent.
Housekeeping
To help each resident maintain a healthy living environment, weekly housekeeping is an included amenity for all. Approximately a half-hour of light housekeeping is provided per week. This includes vacuuming, cleaning floors and surfaces, sink, shower and toilet in the bathroom. If additional housekeeping is required, Assisted Living residents can purchase a more extensive cleaning option through the À La Carte services.
Controlled Building Access & Hospital Link
To provide an extra level of security for each of our residents, security locks are placed at each access point of the building. Being part of the clinic and hospital campus also provides a great advantage for our residents’ medical care. An enclosed link to the hospital and clinic provides quick and easy access for all residents, with the ability to stay indoors during transport.
Laundry Facilities
Our staff provides laundry services to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, which include washing, folding, and putting away three loads of laundry each week. Included in these three loads may be one load that includes bedding from your room. Our staff will strip and remake your bed on housekeeping day as requested by the resident. A washer and dryer are included in the Independent/Assisted Living apartments in the Sonsteng wing. The Scofield wing has laundry facilities in a common area.
Activities/Community Life Coordinator
Scandi Haven Village has a staff member that plans and coordinates activities for our residents. This often includes crafts, games and visiting entertainment.* Participation in activities is optional.
*To cover the cost of activities, there is a one-time community activity fee for assisted living and independent living residents.
Additional Amenities
At Scandi Haven Village, we value and strive to provide the comforts of home every day for each of our residents.
Some of these amenities include convenient elevators, library, exercise room, and multi-purpose rooms. Our spacious common areas include a fireplace, lounge, dining area, craft room, bistro, pool table, and numerous gathering areas. For those special events or your weekly visit, we have an on-site barber shop and beauty shop available for all of our residents. We have a Wi-Fi network throughout the building, and all utilities, except telephone, are included as part of your rent.
